Evolution

Evolution

And then I am going to indoctrinate my child into whatever superstition I was indoctrinated into, because free will doesn’t exist when it comes to choosing religion.

Hell, even most Christian will concede evolution, though there are some very stubborn hold-outs. The pathetic thing is that the number of deniers seems to be growing rather than decreasing!

Overwhelming evidence for evolution – deny. NO evidence for a god – spread the word.

Overwhelming evidence? I’ve been browsing over the subject of evolution which is when new information is added to an organism to produce new functions, for a few months now and haven’t seen any recorded evidence of it as of yet. What I have seen though is devolution where information is loss and that is the total opposite of what evolution suggests.

devolution – I’ve seen it myself. That is when otherwise rational minds start believing in a personal god.

And yet you offer no support of that in which you believe.

The fossil record show the sudden and abrupt evidence of life not the slowly evolving life as which evolution claims any changes made to my knowledge didn’t come about by a slow process.

What I have found is that according to the Tree of life presented by Darwin is that he used the tree saying that every form of life on Earth came from a common ancestry and had evolved through gradual steps over enormous periods of time even though there is no conclusive evidence of all life. The most damaging blow to this theory is the fossil records, if all life came from the same primitive life form than the rock strata of the Earth should be filled with evidence of this evolutionary chain of small biological modifications ultimately leading to the spectacular diversity of life in which we see today. After 2 centuries of research and excavation the multitude of missing links that should exist should have started to appear by now.

Do you have any idea how amzaing it is that we have fossils at all, including the hundreds of transitional fossils? Have we been on this merry go round already? There are hundreds of other supporting reasons other than fossils to support evolution. And what do Christians have for the story in Genesis? Oh yes, nothing.

Even the Bible suggests evolution… And the Roman Catholic Church, one of the first organized Christian faiths accepts evolution and sees nothing in it that conflicts with the Bible.

How and which passages did you twist to come up with biblical support for evolution? As for the church – even they finally came around to the idea that the earth is not the centre of the universe, that the earth is not flat, and viruses and bacteria, not evil spirits cause disease. So forgive me not being suprised that the church finally got around to accepting widely accepted science. Better late than never.

Lol didn’t twist any, but you do know that the early books from the bible came from Sumerian sources don’t you??? And if it wasn’t for Adam and Eve eating the fruit of knowledge we wouldn’t have evolved into logical beings now would we Lol

And still waiting for the biblical support of evolution passages.

What the Catholic church says is that there is nothing in evolution that conflicts with the bible…In the Bible it tells the story of how Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge which caused them to evolve, or grow a brain. Simple enough

Shitty dodge. You said the bible suggest evolution, where? Or is your fairytale about the tree of knowledge all you have?

I think that the author/authors clearly do not understand the theory of evolution.
